I have a 1961 SWB. It worked a lot of its life at Heathrow as a fire vehicle. (any ideas where I can get more info on this)

I bought it off a guy whos Grandfather had owned it since 1980 he aquired it and it had an indicated 18,000 on the clock.
I have since then every MOT and each year the old boy only did a few hundred miles, it now reads 21,000 ish.

I've been trying to measure up whats left of mine to fabricate new ones, but it's a hard job when half of it is missing, and the other half crumbles when you touch it.

Also, can someone give me some sizes for the brackets under the wings that bolt up to the bulkhead?

Finally, GregB, could you take some pictures of your engine bay, especially around the mounts please?

My Series 2 is a 1960..... but a 1961 spec build (just read this elsewhere on the forum)

Should it have the round knob type or the later lever type as per Series 2a/3.

At the moment is has the lever type... but I've been offered a pair of the ealier ones in good condition.
